Memphian Chrysti Chandler at the tender age of 8 had a vision to impact the community through the ARTS. Starting with humble beginnings, directing her first play by casting family and friends in her back yard, her dream began its inception. After graduating for Southern Illinois University, Ms. Chandler graced the world renowned stage Broadway and other dance and theatre companies. Young Actors Guild Theatre and Dance Company was founded 29 years ago by Memphian Chrysti Chandler. Her vision to impact youth through the ARTS has helped over 30,000 youth in the Bluff City. Many youth have performed on Broadway, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance and the Apollo Theatre. The company has a 98% graduation rate from college and continues to provide a positive outlet for youth in the city of Memphis.
